Do You Know What is
iEARN Master Teachers in Online Collaborative Learning?
With support from the Longview Foundation and Copen Family Fund, iEARN's first online professional development courses were completed in November 2001 and have become a model for online teacher training in global education. The iEARN online courses methodology is based on a research study conducted in 2001 by Eliane Metni, a teacher and iEARN country coordinator in Lebanon. During the initial training period, teachers from 23 countries were certified as iEARN Master Teachers in Online Collaborative Learning.
Now part of our professional development program, eight online courses are offered twice a year in English. Each course brings together K-12 educators from the US with peers in Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and South America who wish to integrate technology into their teaching, using online collaborative projects that meet their local/state/national educational standards.

Noyabr 2, 2007 10:31Solitude
Walking along a river's bank
with nothing to behold,
with every step her heart it sank
left her feeling cold.
Blinded eyes that could not see
people walking by.
Humming a sad melody
she began to cry.
Cheerful laughter of the crowd
did not reach her ear.
To others it seemed very loud
and she began to fear
that it was her soul
that got lost the most
pushing her into the role
of being nothing but a ghost.
Resurrection
Sunrays gently touch the earth
embracing it with love and fill
that finally the soil gives birth
to a little yellow daffodil
which had lain there for so long
she almost had forgot
what's it like to be a stong
flower on a lovely spot.
Now the warmth has touched her soul
makes her wriggle through
the tiniest little hole
to say hi to you.
First she shyly nods her head
then stretches out her arm
putting behind the worries had
forgetting all the harm.
Then a radiant sunny smile
appears on her blossom's face
brightens darkness for a while
at a rapid pace.
Reflecting sunlight manifold
and touching others' hearts
so all around her can behold
that sorrow really now departs.
Best,
Your online groupmate,
