TITLE: Country Coordinator, Internet Access and Training Program (IATP)
REPORTS TO: Regional and Deputy Regional Managers (Tbilisi, Ashgabat, and Dushanbe)
POSITION LOCATION: Baku, Azerbaijan POSITION DURATION: pending three-month probationary period and funding situation, but potentially through June 2009

ABOUT IATP: Funded by USAID, the Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) consists of a network of Internet centers located throughout 11 countries of Eurasia. Through these centers, thousands of individuals per month receive free-of-charge access to the Internet as well as to a wide variety of computer-related training programs. Summary of Position: · Manage the technical and programmatic aspects for activities related to IATP/ Azerbaijan; · Negotiate and establish agreements with partner institutions approved by funder, ensuring that contracts are updated and requirements met;· Assist in the development and implementation of IATP sustainability plans with partners and the establishment of community networks;· Collaborate with local institutions to establish on-line resources, including websites, electronic publications, databases, archives, and electronic mailing lists;· Train and supervise a staff that consists of an assistant, site administrators, and trainers;· Develop and implement program outreach and related initiatives to foster active participation in the program by targeted audiences;· Oversee other IATP initiatives such as web chats, targeted trainings, and publicity;· Network and collaborate with other NGOs administering Internet and development programs locally and regionally;· Submit financial and narrative reports monthly to IREX/DC on IATP program activities. · Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications: · Completion of university education preferred. · Experience working in results-oriented international organizations, including management of personnel. · Extensive experience in use of the Internet. · Ability to work under pressure and in a time-bound environment. · Strong communication skills. · Client-oriented mentality. · Good written and spoken English
