International Finance Corporation a Member of the World Bank Group seeks
candidates to fill the following Baku-based short term positions for its
REGIONAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY (EE) SURVEYS PROJECT
Position: Research Expert: responsible for providing technical guidance to
a survey company in relation to relevant sectors. The Expert will help
adapt survey to local conditions, if required, and liaise with local
survey partners. The duties also include a short report preparation on
energy market trends and providers of EE products & finance in the
country. The Expert will also liaise with the Project Manager and team in
Kiev, coordinating the work with IFC clients and partners. He/she will
hire local data analysis support where agreed and represent IFC in the
country as needed.
Requirements:
• Master’s or equivalent professional degree and/or at least five
years of relevant experience;
• Commercial, technical or research background in EE or related area;
• Experience working on EE issues in Azerbaijan;
• Good report writing and analysis skills;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, proficiency in English and Russian desired
Position: Data/Report Analyst: responsible for analyzing the data of
survey conducted among Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) & preparing the
final report in Azerbaijan. The Analyst will liaise with survey fieldwork
company to ensure data quality & integrity. He/she will analyze data
results, benchmark approaches, identify best practices in local SME EE
financing. The Analyst will work with local experts to assess local
legislation & market development. He/she will prepare a report based on
key findings describing market readiness for EE lending products. The
Analyst will promote the survey results in the country, and support
Ukraine-based management team in the development of regional
benchmarking.
Requirements:
• University degree or equivalent professional qualification;
• 3+ years experience in conducting & analyzing establishment-based
surveys;
• Familiarity with SPSS or STATA data formats;
• Good report writing skills & experience of creating graphs;
• Knowledge of finance and industry sectors preferred;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, excellent English and/or Russian.
Public Relations Consultant: responsible for coordinating all aspects of
public relations activities connected with the SME EE survey in
Azerbaijan. The PR Consultant will promote & publicize the survey
results. He/she will design and launch a report of the survey findings
according to IFC standards and templates. The PR Consultant will oversee
development of promotional materials and organize seminars, events to
promote EE concepts to key stakeholders & banks. He/she will also arrange
press conferences, facilitate media coverage of IFC project activities and
coordinate work with IFC clients & partners to deliver maximum visibility.
Requirements:
• University Degree or professional qualification in Communications,
Journalism or Marketing;
• At least 3 years experience in communications or PR, preferably with
financial institutions and track record of successful PR & marketing
activity in Azerbaijan;
• Understanding of EE and finance concepts preferable;
• Strong writing, communications, presentation, interpersonal,
organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously;
• Experience of event and seminar management;
Fluent in Azerbaijani, excellent English and Russian.
