Training Seminars for Students and Young Representatives of NGOs on the Standards of the European Court of Human Rights
The Council of Europe Office in Azerbaijan invites students of Law Faculties and young people working in a law sphere to participate in the training seminars on the standards of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
The objective of training seminars is to provide undergraduate and
graduate students from law academic backgrounds with the framework of the
activities of the ECHR, its working procedures, Court case-laws; to help
to enhance their educational experience through practical work
assignments; to explain them the mechanisms of influence of the European
court judgements to the practices of local courts.
The following methods of instruction will be applied during the training:
Interactive teaching methods
Group discussion /practical exercises
Case presentations by trainer
Use relevant handouts, real-life case-laws, Council of Europe publications
Training term
Training seminars will be conducted in the Office of the Council of Europe
in Azerbaijan from 3 to 24 May on Saturdays. Each session will start at 11
o’clock and last two hours.
Seminars will be conducted in Azerbaijani language. Sucessful participants
will be provided with the certificates of attendance.
