Harvard University's Davis Center offer three categories of fellowships and make a combined total of approximately six awards each year. Fellows combine disciplinary excellence in the humanities or social sciences, or significant work experience, with an area focus in Russia, Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and/or the Caucasus. Fellows receive a living stipend, office space, computer support, borrowing privileges in the Harvard libraries, and a health insurance allowance. Stipends assume a 10-month stay from September through June and are pro-rated for shorter stays. Announcing the 2008 Social Work Masters Fellowship Program

The Open Society Institute is pleased to announce the Social Work Masters Fellowship Program for Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The Program is designed to provide training in social work to implement reform, create policy and foster the development of social work in participating countries. Upon the conclusion of the fellowship, fellows return home to apply their new knowledge in practice. The Program introduces students from the participating countries to colleagues from other regions of the world and encourages cross-national dialogues among professional communities. Approximately 10 awards will be granted in 2008.
