Bucharest Summer University is an international academic and cultural event, held over a period of 2 weeks, which has an annual theme from the economic field. The Summer School is organized by the Students' Senate under the aegis of the Bucharest University of Economics ASE, in partnership with business, press and non-profit organizations.
Bucharest Summer University - the fourth edition - will select 55 participants from all over the world, with emphasis on EU students. It will take place between 10th and 25th August and the theme is:
"The Four Fundamental Freedoms of the European Union"

The 2007 Hansen Summer Institute
was a great success. Thirty students from 12 different countries gathered at SDSU to study leadership skills and learn alternative conflict resolution methods.
We are currently recruiting applicants for the 2008 program. The 2008 applications are now on-line. They can be downloaded
from our website as PDF files and submitted to us via fax, email or regular mail. The application deadline for non-US students is January, 4 2008 and for US students it is February 15, 2008.

Two criteria for applicants are:
1) Students must be fluent in English. (We will call them directly to verify their knowledge and will also ask their academic advisors to certify their fluency.)
2) They must not have previously visited the United States .
